It’s About Choice, Not Circumstance

The primary thing to understand is that our external world should not dictate our internal state. The moment we let outside circumstances control our emotions, we lose our power. Remember, emotions stem from within, influenced by our thoughts, which are always within our control.

Finding the Story Behind the Mood

Often, a bad mood is anchored in a narrative we’ve created in our minds. Maybe you’re late for work and start to weave a tale of incompetence, leading to feelings of inadequacy. Recognizing and questioning this internal story is crucial. Ask yourself, “If this story wasn’t true, what else could be true?”
