This plant is going crazy!

So I’m always talking to you guys about the power of belief and how you are a conscious creator with the power to create your world. But how many of you have actually gone and chosen yourself some new beliefs to believe in? I was thinking about this today and thinking about how that there’s a big disconnect in between us saying that we want to be conscious creators and between us actually doing the work to become one. So today I thought I would help to bridge the gap a little bit and give you guys five beliefs that you can start believing in today that will start to shift your reality. So if you want to find out what those are then be sure to keep watching!

What’s up guys? Welcome back to my channel. My name is Jenn. I’m a spiritual life and business coach and you have found my YouTube channel. Every week I bring you two videos all about combining the two things that I love most in the world which are manifestation and personal development together, so that you can live your best life. My passion is basically helping people achieve their dreams whether that’s in their personal life or in their small business and if you want to learn more about my coaching services I’m gonna go ahead and leave a link for you to discover more below.

So like I said at the top of the video it is so important for you to actively choose what you believe in. I talk about this on this channel all the time because that is part of you being a Conscious Creator. If you’re new here, Conscious Creator is just the term that I use it for a manifestor or somebody who likes to think about their future and think about their dreams and actually goes through the process of making them happen, somebody who is brave enough to dream big and design the life they really want. This isn’t some magic power that only a few people have! It is part of my mission to help spread the word and to help more people wake up and discover just how incredibly powerful they really are. But that all begins on the inside. It is up to us to both have the dream and to go about making it happen and a lot of what I teach on this channel is all thought work and belief work based. It’s a lot of subconscious reprogramming and a lot of identity shifting and a lot of internal work which will basically have the end result of you creating the results that you really want.

So one of the most powerful things that you can do for your own future is to consciously choose what you want to believe in. The problem is is that most of us adults walking around today have a whole bunch of beliefs about the world and about ourselves that aren’t actually helping us. And these are actually called limiting beliefs and I’ve talked about them a bunch times on this channel before. These are beliefs that we think are true and we act as if are true but that aren’t actual facts. They aren’t actual stone cold hard facts that can be proven in the world. They are just things that we have chosen to uphold over a lifetime. That means they are stories that we have picked out and decided to live with. So now I bet you’re wondering why would I ever want to pick a story that limits me and trust me we all do this we all believe that we are not as powerful as we really are in one way or another.

We remember those moments on the playground for him when we were a kid and we’re picked on for something way more intensely than we remember the many times we were told that we were good at doing something. That just happens to be the way the human brain works and because of this we tend to hold on to these incidences from our childhood, from our family, from when we were really young and make them mean things about us as adults that in turn serve to limit what we do in the world.

So my challenge for you today is to really take this to the next level and to decide on some new beliefs for yourself. And everybody can do this. I know nobody takes you aside when you become an adult and tells you “Hey! You get to believe in whatever you want to about yourself or the world!” But that’s actually what’s true. And I highly recommend that you start doing this because if you want to keep living the life that you’ve always lived, go ahead and keep believing in your same old beliefs.

If you want to change something new and become your most optimized, your best, your bright brightest, your shiniest self then you need to create the beliefs to go along with that. So I thought it’d help speed up your journey here today and give you five beliefs you can start working on right now that will help to transform your world from the inside out.

So if you’re ready let’s get right into it with belief number one! Belief number one is simply: I am a conscious creator. And I’ve already talked about this in this video but I’ll talk about it again. We are all creating the world that we live in and we create the world that we live in through our beliefs. Our lives are basically self-fulfilling prophecy so it is up to you to decide on what kind of prophecy you want to believe. The thing is we are all creating our lives. The only thing that I’m helping you to do here is to consciously create yours which is to decide on what you want to believe and then to go out there and make that thing happen. If you don’t do that you are still going to end up creating your world but you are probably going to do it in a chaotic way. You are probably going to create a bunch of results that you’re not really into and you’re probably going to feel frustrated and feel like the world is working against you all the time. So I want you to really take this belief to heart and really understand what I’m telling you here today. You can create any outcome that you want to and if you desire it you are already worthy of it okay? So stop worrying about whether or not you’re good enough and just worry about your belief power and you can kick all of that off with that simple belief: I am a conscious creator.

Okay the second belief that I want you to work on today is this one: my manifestations always come true. And I know that right now you’re probably thinking to yourself: “Well they don’t always come true! Why on earth what I believe in that?” But this is exactly the catch-22 of being a Conscious Creator or being a manifester. I’m asking you to believe in something before you have evidence. In fact, that is the whole key to being a manifester. So when someone comes to me and says “I want to manifest but this is happening and that is happening and this other thing is happening” then I know that they haven’t really internalized this message. So I really want you to take this one to heart and to really think about what this means for you. What would it feel like if all of your manifestations came true? What if you didn’t have to prove yourself? What if you didn’t have to wonder if things were working out? What would that feel like and why can’t you start choosing to believe in that right now?

In fact that’s exactly what I’m asking you to do! So that is like that is the second belief.

The third belief that I want you to start working on today is: everything always works out in my favor. And this is such a wonderful belief to create for yourself because sometimes a life is full of surprises. Sometimes things don’t work out the way we want. Sometimes we get an expectation hangover in something like “Oh I thought this job was going to last a long time. I thought I was going to get this promotion. I thought I was going to be with my boyfriend forever.” Whatever the belief is, sometimes reality has a different plan for us.

So even though we didn’t anticipate these little bumps in the road, wouldn’t it feel so much better if you always believed that they were leading you to where you were supposed to go? If you truly believe that everything is working out in your favor all the time that means it’ll be so much easier to get over these so-called disappointments. That just means that the universe is pointing you in a different direction. That just means that there is another job out there for you or another relationship out there for you. It doesn’t mean anything and terrible about you and that is really a wonderful way to live your life. I t will allow you to heal faster and it will allow you to open up to new opportunities faster and more importantly, it will allow you to not blame yourself for these things. So people we cannot predict everything. If we could predict everything in life we would not be learning anything. So there is always going to be something coming your way that you didn’t see coming and I just want you to know that means nothing. It is all here for our growth and it is all just part of the journey. And if you believe in this new belief, that everything is working out in my favor ,trust me it will make the whole journey so much easier.

Belief number four that I want you to work on believing is: I always have the best of luck. Okay, I really want you to take that one and think about what that could mean for you. Because I know that there are people watching this video right now who really think that they just have bad luck. They blame bad luck for where they are in life. They blame bad luck for why their manifestations aren’t working out. They blame bad luck for so many things.

So I just want you to think about this for a moment and try to imagine what life would feel like if you only believed in good luck. And if you could let go of this idea of having bad luck or being cursed or whatever it is, trust me it is so much easier and feels so much lighter to think of yourself as only being open to good fortune. And of course with any belief the more that we think about something the more it expands. So if you are the type of person who is always talking about your bad luck and always saying “Oh this only ever happens to me “or “Oh it’s just my luck” then you are just creating more of that and more of that and more of that.

So if you really want to break the cycle it is up to you to start believing in something new. It is time for you to start to look for evidence of having good luck. It is time for you to stop thinking of yourself as being this uniquely broken person who’s cursed somehow and who always has the worst things happened to them and start to think about yourself as this person who always just lucks their way into the most positive outcome in any situation. So what would that feel like and FYI, for any of these beliefs, if you are struggling with it, if there’s part of your brain that’s really fighting this and really thinks this is stupid or uncomfortable, I would really invite you to dive in. Because usually where we have the most resistance, that’s where we need the most work. So that’s my fourth belief for you today: I always have good luck. Just think about what that would feel like and try to go through your life for the next week acting that out and just see how things change for you.

Okay my fifth and final belief that I want you to work on for today is: money is always coming my way. And I know when it comes to matters of money people have a real resistance to, again, believing in something before it is real. But if you are like so many other people that watch this video and you are looking to improve your money situation again the biggest thing that you can do to change things in your world is to change what you believe in. If you were waiting for the world to prove something to you before you believe it, you are going to wait around for that to happen for a very long time. In fact, that’s what you’ve been doing this whole time right? You are waiting for the world to prove something to you. So what I’m asking you to do again as a Conscious Creator is to start believing in it before it’s here. What happens if you start to believe that money is on its way to you? What happens if you believe that you know money isn’t necessarily tied to your hourly income or whatever is happening for you in your life right now and you start to open up your mind to receiving money in other ways? If you start to just understand that money is flowing its way to you, how does that feel? What would that change? How would you act differently if you had that feeling?

So when it comes to money, no, I’m not telling you to run out and spend up your credit card because more money is on its way. But I am asking you to make an energetic shift and to start to believe in your own potential before the evidence shows up, before the money lands in your bank account, before you see evidence in the physical world. If you can do this, you are a true life architect who cannot be soft and can make every single thing that they think I’ve come true. So really think about what you would do with this power.

The truth is we all have the option to do this. There is literally nothing holding us back except the habit of thinking our old crappy thoughts and holding on to our old poor me identity. But you do not have to be the same person you’ve always been. If you are desiring a change, why not challenge yourself enough to rise to the occasion and make that happen? After all, you are a magical light being on this planet. You are here for a purpose and you are here to shine your incredible light wherever you go. Most of us do this by following our desires and becoming our best highest selves and you can do that by consciously creating the exact world that you’ve always wanted to live in.

I really hope that this enlightened you and inspired you to think of a few new beliefs that you can start testing out in your own world. Remember just because you believed in something your whole entire life that doesn’t mean you have to hold on to that belief for the rest of your life! Angry Much? 6 Tips To Calm The 'Eff Down

Admit it! As much as you meditate, work on your thoughts and align your chakras, every once in a while you still feel it:

Anger.

There’s no mistaking it either: your cheeks heating up, your hands getting sweaty, your heart racing. It’s one of those feelings that’s unmistakable!

It’s not exactly fun–and quite frankly at times it can also be a little scary!

When our switch flips, it can seem like the Jeckyll to our Hyde has suddenly been unleashed on the world!

We do or say things we don’t really mean. And later on, those same reactions can lead us to feel shame and embarrassment.

And it’s never cool to feel like you’re out of control! ????

But please know this: anger is just another one of our human emotions–meaning it’s something we all experience at some point in time!

There isn’t anything wrong with you. And feeling that extra guilt and judgment around this isn’t doing anyone any favors!

However, even though anger is normal, you don’t have to stay feeling out of control! Fortunately there are ways to help yourself calm down–even when things have got you feeling some kind of way! Here are six tips to help you get started.


Angry Much: 6 Tips To Help You Calm Down


How To Calm Down Tip #1:

Don’t Judge It


Don’t judge yourself too harshly! All too often we judge our emotions for being either “good” or “bad” and we think poorly of ourselves for experiencing the “bad” ones. But every single emotion is actually just here to teach us something.

So the bigger question is: what is your anger here to tell you? Anger isn’t always irrational and useless! More often it’s a very clear signal that something is way off. However, that doesn’t always mean that other people are the true source of the problem! Most of the time this is just a signal for us to either take real-world action or to rearrange our thoughts to create a better feeling about something that we can’t control.


How To Calm Down Tip #2:

Name It To Tame It


Naming your emotions might not seem like much at first but it’s actually a helpful step in getting back your sense of control. One of the problems with anger is that it allows us to temporarily let our ego/ monkey mind to take over the controls (which is why you say or do things that aren’t actually reflective of you).

Slowing down is so key to getting control back! So simply saying “oh look I’m feeling angry” and allowing yourself to get curious about why can give you power over the situation. If you let the anger swoop you up and run away with you, that’s when you might end up doing something you won’t feel so great about down the road.


How To Calm Down Tip #3:

Breathe


As you well know, one of the first things that changes when you’re angry is your breathing. When our bodies go into fight or flight mode, it’s a clear sign that we’ve relinquished some of our normal level of control.

But why not try to get it back? When it comes to anger, most of us react by trying to change our outer circumstances (which rarely works!). Instead, get control of what really matters (aka YOU) and focus on controlling your breath.

Let’s face it: it’s hard to be reasonable and rational when your body is convincing you to run. But taking even just three deep centering breaths can give you back your sense of control–which can then let you slow down your thoughts instead of letting them get the best of you.


How To Calm Down Tip #4:

See Your Story


Everything is just a story boo! So what story are you writing? We all think that we’re having an emotional reaction just from what’s actually happening! But what we’re actually reacting to is what we’re making something mean.

So ask yourself: is this car driving slowly in front of you really trying to ruin your day? Does the fact that your best friend didn’t return your call really mean that they just don’t care about you? Does your boyfriend not complimenting your new haircut really mean that he doesn’t care about you (or how you look)?

In all of these cases, it’s simple to see that your conclusion might not be the only one–or even the accurate one! In the moment, when you’re the one experiencing the anger, it might be a lot harder to slow down and see something new. But simply understanding this process can allow you to create curiosity about yourself–and as long as you stay in curiosity mode, you’ll stay out of angry mode!


How To Calm Down Tip #5:

Shake It Off


Have you ever watched two cats about to fight? Very often they’ll hiss and yowl at each other then suddenly–before a fight actually breaks out–they’ll simply blink and shake themselves off. Fight over! But we are not so different from our animal friends! Sometimes shaking off the anger/excess energy is a good way to come back to feeling “normal”.

Your physical body is not separate from your emotional body! Anger creates a very real sensation in the body–one the can be difficult to ignore! So don’t just try to ignore it away! Try shaking it out. If you can, go to the bathroom (or somewhere where you won’t be seen) and do a whole body shake. But if that’s not possible, try gently shaking out your hands or feet. Basically do anything you can do do loosen up that tension in your body and disperse back outside of you.

This might seem weird at first trust me–it actually feels really good!


How To Calm Down Tip #6:

Harness The Power


Anger isn’t always a bad thing–in fact, it can be one of our very best motivational tools! But obviously I don’t mean that it’s okay for you to go swipe your (supposedly) cheating boyfriend’s tires! But you can harness even a negative feeling into something positive.

Think aback about your own life and I’m sure you can find a time where this was true for you! Think Khloe Kardashian’s “breakup revenge body” or the time you applied for that job because you didn’t want your snaky co-worker to get it. Anger isn’t alway destructive! In fact, sometimes it can motivate us to do the things we’ve always wanted to do–but were just waiting on an excuse for.

So what can you use your anger for? Where can you allow it to push you? Anger is really close to passion after all so let that passion fuel what’s actually best for you!

It’s time to stop judging ourselves for feeling what we think are “negative” emotions and to start simply learning from them instead! No matter how good you get at life, sometimes anger will still become a factor. So stop fighting with yourself because of it and learn how to harness it instead!

Mindset & The Real Causes Of Depression & Anxiety

The more work and learning I do on applied psychology and coaching the more excited I get about how it can change the world.

At this point, it seems straight up ridiculous to me that we don’t teach you how to use your own brain in school. It’s kind of crazy that you have to seek out this information on your own.
This work applies to so much in your life but today I want to talk about the darker side of human psychology.

So let me ask you this:

What if your mood disorder was actually an emotional disorder?

And if emotions are caused by our thinking, then doesn’t that also mean that we have a lot more power over our dark feelings than we’ve been led to believe?

In case that makes you defensive, let’s just be clear.

It’s not your fault. But it is under your control.

So here’s what I mean by that:

It’s not your fault that no one has told you the truth about how your brain works. It’s definitely not common knowledge and you can’t be expected to just “figure it out”. In fact, personal development in general is still kind of sneered at as being self-indulgent. As a culture, we simply don’t talk about mental wellness unless there’s an evident problem. (Which is exactly like not thinking about eating healthy or exercising unless you’re actually sick!)

But it’s also true that your emotions are caused by your thoughts and your thoughts are very much in control. Since 7 out of the 9 causes of depression and anxiety are not brain chemistry or biology, then there’s a good chance this applies to you.

Your brain is a creature of habit. It will rely on thinking the same old thoughts as often as it can, even when those thoughts aren’t healthy. On a biological level, that’s just your brain being efficient and saving time. But imagine what that means when your brain has latched onto an extremely dark and unhappy way of thinking.

Chronic stressors can result in a chronic way of thinking (and therefore feeling). But the experience can be multiplied by intense emotion experiences. Trauma, stress and grief can quickly shift from a normal reaction to something occurring in your life into your new normal. Those big jolts of negativity can effectively re-wire your brain to behave in entirely new (and unwelcome) ways.

The good news is healing doesn’t just come from a therapist or a pill. You can look at these causes and question how they’ve fit into your own situation. Then you can begin the work of healing them.

This post isn’t about making light of anyone’s situation! My aim is to empower you here, not to shame you for something that isn’t even your fault! Again, simple knowledge is key to the healing process. The more you understand about yourself, the better you’ll be able to begin retraining your brain (and healing).

Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #1:

Disconnection From Meaningful Values


Our values give our life purpose. But it’s not like any of us were given a quiz about what our unique values are. They might be invisible to everyone else but they’ll definitely cause problems if there’s confusion around them. While unseen to most, they’re what gives your life some all-important structure.

Yet many of us end up focusing on the things in life that don’t truly offer us value. This is a result of our outwardly focused consumerist society. We’re repeatedly shown that the way to happiness is by doing: buying things, making more money, rising our careers higher and higher. While we can find happiness in some of those things, of course true happiness can only come from inside of us–not what’s hanging in our closet. In other words, striving for a full bank account or designer bag or a career designation is not guaranteed bring your life meaning.

But again, no one can figure this one out except you! So ask yourself: what are your values? What does make you happy in life? What are the themes that have displayed themselves for you at important points in your life? (And no it’s not the shoes, the career, the guy etc.)

Simply asking yourself that question can foster curiosity and a deeper understanding of yourself. If you don’t understand your core values, you might accidentally violate them–which will leave you feeling out of alignment and unhappy, without understanding the real reasons why.


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #2:

Disconnection From Work That Gives You Purpose


You spend 40 hours a week (or more!) at work. So is it any wonder that the way you feel about your work can have an affect on your emotional state?

Ultimately, we all want to feel like our work matters. And I’ve totally know what it’s like to not feel that way! (ie underappreciated, daily drudgery etc.) I used to get the Sunday Scaries back then: that overwhelming feeling of dread that would start (annoyingly) on Sunday afternoons. (Ooooph)

Having little control or autonomy over your work can leave you feeling like what you do doesn’t actually matter. It’s very difficult to wake up day after day feeling like that! No wonder this one can leave you feeling very much in the dumps.

However, sometimes this problem can manage itself by shifting the way we think about work. Meaning is where we find it and, while it might be hard to find that meaning in some circumstances, it’s always there if we’re willing to look.

But of course, the problem is often much deeper than that. If this resonates for you, leaving your job might not be something you can do right away. But simply acknowledging that this is an important human need is the first step. Is there something you can do to start aligning with your work? Or is there something else that you’ve always wanted to do? These are questions that might take you some time to figure out but they are well worth considering.


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #3:

Disconnection From Other People


Humans are definitely not solitary creatures! We need to experience life with other people around us. Personal connection is what gives our life meaning. And while you might feel that Facebook or Instagram are doing the job, they’re really not. Very often, social media actually distances us from what we really want. While we can see our friends right there in our hands, we’re also looking at literal evidence that we’re not actually with them.

However, as adults, we often let our friendships take a backseat to the rest of our lives. We get busy with work and kids and end up relying on our romantic partner for that all-important sense of connection. Of course that connection is important in itself but it’s unrealistic to expect to get everything we require only from one person. Cultivating friendships might not seem like it’s “important” but it truly is: for your own happiness and ultimately for the best interests of those around you. Without shared meaningful experiences, the world we live


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #4:

Childhood Trauma


Childhood trauma is highly linked to depression and anxiety. But of course, your childhood trauma is not your fault! However, it’s one thing to know that on a conscious level. What your subconscious really thinks is often very different.

We often have unreleased pain, shame and anger from these events in our past. But trauma cannot be processed simply by us telling ourselves we’re over it, that we “should” be over it or that it was never really there. You must learn how to process in order to heal.

Again, these issues can point to the habitual nature of the human brain. The emotions you experienced as a child are very well practiced by now! Your brain is used to going back to those dark places over and over again, which might leave you feeling frustrated and out of control as an adult.

While you cannot change the events from your past, you can shift the way you think about them. (I would highly recommend using a therapist or coach for this work!)


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #5:

Disrespect


R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to me!

Respect is basic dignity and a basic human right. So when we feel disrespected by our peers, our boss, our partner etc. that can do a whole lot of damage to our emotions.

Let’s face it: it’s downright exhausting to have to argue and stand up for yourself over and over again. While objectively you know that you’re due respect (just as anyone is) having to fight for your own over and over again might confuse your subconscious mind. After all, if you really deserved it, would you have to fight so hard to get it?

In a perfect world, those around us would respect us all the time. But in reality, we’re also responsible for showing others how we wish to be treated. That’s not to put the blame on you for someone else’s behavior! But it is up to you what you do and do not accept in your life.

Similarly, sometimes it’s the idea of respect that we’ve lost. If you’ve recently lost a relationship, a job, money etc. perhaps the disrespect you’re feeling is coming from you. When you’ve tied your idea of yourself to these external things, then it can be devastating to lose them.

If this is ringing a bell for you, it might be time to draw some boundaries for yourself. You deserve relationships that serve you, not ones that bring you down. The action you take here might be simply having a much-needed conversation with someone or it might mean removing yourself from a toxic situation. As an adult, you don’t owe anyone your energy, even if that person is a parent or partner. Or perhaps you need to work on your thoughts to the point that other people’s opinions don’t matter to you so much.

At the end of the day, only you determine your own worth, no matter what anyone else has to say about it.


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #6:

Disconnection From The Natural World


We might live in a modern glass condominium. We might be on our phones 24/7. But underneath it all, we still belong to the natural world.

When faced with our mortality in relation to the bigger picture of the world, we might feel small. But we also feel as though we’re part of something so much bigger than ourselves–and that’s comforting.

We’re meant to roam free, to experience nature, to harness some of our inherent wildness. Animals in captivity develop compulsive and depressive behaviors–and also lose their inherent desire for sex! (That’s why animals in captivity are difficult to breed.)

So while you can’t return to the wild per se, how can you honor your inner wild nature? Where do you need to roam free? To experience adventure and novelty? To see, feel and breathe in elements of Mother Earth?

We all need to be outdoors. We need to see nature. We need to experience sunrises, sunsets, wind on our faces, sand under our feet.

Depressed or anxious people who are told to spend more time exercising or being outdoors often find that advice frustrating. And yes, it might not appear to make sense on the surface. But you were not meant to thrive on Facebook and Netflix! Even if this idea doesn’t resonate with you at first, please take it into consideration anyway. Perhaps some part of you is missing out on this essential part of the human experience.


Real Causes Of Depression + Anxiety Reason #7:

Loss Of Hope For A Better Future


Let’s face it: being given a diagnosis that you are depressed or have anxiety can be debilitating on its own. Labels are useful at times of course! But when they suddenly imply that we have no hope for our future, a harmless label can become a sentence.

A diagnosis (whether it’s for a mood disorder or not) can result in feeling discouraged and down. Similarly, getting caught up in the never-ending negative news cycle can leave us feeling both helpless and hopeless. So can being told something negative about your future by a fortune teller, like a tarot card reader or astrologist.

We don’t often think of the bigger consequences but cutting off a person’s sense of hope is often a sentence to depression, anxiety–or in extreme situations, even death! Losing the will to live is something even skilled doctors will find it hard to come back from.

So please be very careful who’s words you trust in! Always be wary of who or what is limiting your future. Even those people in white doctor’s coats can do us a lot of damage in this regard.

Please know there is always hope. Please know that you are so much more than any label. Please know that you always have control over your life on so many levels. And please remember that news companies profit off of keeping us feeling scared and uncertain.
