Whether your intention is big or small, you’ve got to show the Universe (and yourself) that you’re happy to receive it.

It’s just so easy to constantly focus on what you don’t have yet in life.

However, that’s an exhausting attitude. There will always be something we don’t have. Concentrating on that will make you feel chronically dissatisfied at best–and completely burnt out at worst.

The Universe absolutely loves a little appreciation–just like the rest of us.

Once I took a friend a bouquet for her birthday and she almost immediately put them in the trash. Needless to say, that didn’t feel so great!

So don’t be like that ungrateful person, especially not to the Universe.

Even if you don’t think you’re acting this way, take stock and really notice what you’re doing.

Many times we’re so future focused that we forget to look at what we’ve already called in. That can leave very little room for being grateful.

Even though there are always new things to chase in life, it’s important to look back on what you’ve achieved.

Don’t be the rude guest who never says thank you at this Universal party! Take a moment to drop in and appreciate it all.

Gratitude For Manifestation Success Tip #1: Notice When You Fall Into Lack

 
Gratitude and lack are like two sides of the same coin. When you fall too far into lack, it’s a clear sign that you need to add a little extra gratitude in your life.

Let’s face it: we spend an awful lot of our time already focusing on the things we don’t have. Creating a gratitude practice is a wonderful way of counteracting this and ultimately balancing out your energy.

Use Gratitude For Manifestation Success Tip #2: Practice Future Gratitude

 
One of my favorite manifestation practices is future gratitude: the act of being grateful for something that you don’t actually have yet.

This is a powerful practice for two reasons:

1. It creates an emotional connection with your intention. Never underestimate the power of feelings when it comes to manifestation! Manifesting what you want is one part seeing to believe and one part feeling to believe.

2. It gives you a clear picture of being done. One of the many mistakes people make with manifestation is to think about how they will feel in the future. But keeping your desire in the future of your mind actually keeps it right there: in the future! You want to remove the issue of time and connect to your desire as if it were happening now. Future gratitude is a great way to do that.

 

Use Gratitude For Manifestation Success Tip #3:You Don’t Need Perfection

 

Sometimes we put off gratitude because we don’t feel “done” yet. It’s like because we’re a perpetual work-in-progress that we can never acknowledge the hard work we’ve put in or what the Universe has already given us.

Try to remember that perfection doesn’t exist. You will never feel perfect, even if you achieve what you want to achieve. If you put off anything until you’re “perfect” or “done”, you’ll be waiting a very long time.

We need to start removing that limiting belief before it ties us up. If you are still you (aka messy, imperfect, “A Hot Mess”, whatever) and you still achieve your desire, what does that look like? What does that feel like? Stop setting extra barriers for yourself by expecting perfection. Release the need to get everything else “right” and see how much easier things flow to you.




Removing Abundance Blocks With Gratitude

Do you feel blocked in money and abundance? Gratitude is an easy way to shift those manifestation blocks…fast!

Many times we’re blocked in money because we’re too focused on what we don’t have (ie. how much money we didn’t manifest, how much money isn’t in the bank, etc.).

However, by simply being grateful for what we do have (even if that’s $2) we automatically switch our energy from lack into have. The key to manifestation is always to feel the way you want to! So set your intentions but always manifest from a place of having, instead of a place of focusing on what you don’t have.

What if I don’t have anything to be grateful for?

I’ve felt like this before too so I get it! But there’s always something to be grateful for: the phone in your hand, your favorite pillow, the fact that you can have a nice hot shower. If we really stop to think about our blessings, we’ll see how many we actually have. Even if you’re feeling really down or in a place of lack, you can start small with gratitude and work your way up.

Do I have to be grateful 24/7 to manifest?

Nope! You are a human after all, and you will experience the normal range of human emotions. Don’t gaslight yourself into toxic positivity. It’s actually way better to experience your “negative” emotions so you can process them and move past them–rather than bottle them up and keep them inside you forever.

Being grateful (or happy) 100% of the time is never the goal. The goal is to simply start to consciously choose to feel grateful more often. You are simply creating a new mental habit, not giving yourself a sentence.

Are there any other benefits to practicing gratitude?

Heck yes there are! Not only is gratitude essential for manifesting, but it also just makes you a happier person in general. It’s awfully hard to feel good about yourself when you’re constantly focused on what you don’t have. Turning your attention to what you do have is a positive mindset habit that will benefit you for the rest of your life, whether you use it to manifest or not.
