As you have likely noticed by now, I’m a full-on #manifestationjunkie! I’ve been actively studying and playing with the Law of Attraction for about 6 years now.
I still am wildly obsessed with the concept. I LOVE anything that helps to empower people to dream big and make their lives as amazing as they should be.
That’s mostly because I think a lot of us are selling ourselves short. We’ve stopped believing in our own innate creation power. So these days I’ve made it my job to help you all remember just how powerful you really are.
And to be honest, that’s something we’re doing all the time!
Just take a look around you: everything you see (that’s manmade) originated as an idea in someone’s mind. Which is truly wild! Humans are crazy powerful, even though most of us don’t wake up feeling that way every morning.
With that said, I know what your next question is: what’s the difference between manifesting and–you know–just regular goal-setting stuff?
Honestly, the two are not that much different! You pick a target and head out.
One is simply consciously manifesting and the other isn’t. One is trying to do everything itself and the other is a lot more chilled about the whole process.
They both take you to the same place ultimately but you’ll have a lot more fun along with way when you operate from faith!
With the Law of Attraction, we know that there’s a secret invisible force behind the scenes. We know that we’ll get help along the way. And because we have full faith in our own power, we operate with a sense of confidence.
So it’s also true that you don’t really need a special teacher to start manifesting. You are a born manifestor. Your very nature is manifesting!
However, you likely haven’t explored this power. You’ve probably been shown by the world at large that if you don’t hustle and sweat, you’ll never achieve your dreams. You’ve been told that money is difficult to earn, that men come and go, that people like you just can’t live the life they really want to (insert reason here).
(And now you can see what I’m really fighting against!)
Your attitudes and beliefs about yourself and the world around you are what actually create your life!
So by teaching manifesting, I’m not actually giving you some superpower that you didn’t have before. I’m just opening your mind and heart to the array of possibilities in front of you.
To be honest, many spiritual people seem dead-set against dreaming big and setting goals. They want to just float and take life as it comes. And to a certain degree that’s cool–if you’re aware of the potential downfalls! But here’s where I think this goes wrong:
Humans are meant to live in expansion mode. That means constantly learning, growing and changing. The Universe itself is in a state of constant expansion so it only makes sense that we should do the same!
However, most of us shirk this notion. We’ve been conditioned to believe that you go to school, find a job and stay there forever. Of course, now we’re beginning to understand just how outdated that concept is!
Yet many of us still hold this up as the standard. So when life throws us some unexpected curveballs we take it personally. We’re not living up to the ideal so there must be something wrong with us–right?
Sometimes we stop setting goals because we think we’re past that stage. We’re adults now. We’ve checked all the boxes. The pushing part of our life is over.
But purpose is the opposite of depression!
When we stop having a focus, when we stop growing, we’ll one day wake up, look around and wonder “Is that all there is?” It’s so common to have this feeling of waking up in someone else’s life because you’ve gone on autopilot for months or years at a time. You’ve stopped listening to your soul–but when the soul wakes up, it’s going to confront you with the truth: something has gone deeply wrong.
Manifestation works hand in hand with growth. Manifestation asks that you constantly assess where you are so you can figure out where you want to go. And manifestation offers you a way to make all those dreams of yours a reality–but without the intense struggle and push that you’ve been conditioned to believe comes first.
In my world, successful manifestation is 10% intention and 90% mental work. So the people that literally want to sit on the sofa watching Kardashian marathons and not doing anything, will probably click away from this post right now!
But those of you who are really committed to growth might find this comforting. That’s because:
It isn’t a matter of just not being able to do it.
(Because you’re always doing it!)
It isn’t a matter of not being good manifestor.
(Because you’ve been manifesting your entire life!)
It isn’t a matter of not being lucky.
(Because you can create your own luck!)
Manifesting lets you control all those variables you’ve been told are out of your control! It’s truly just about consciously creating your own life. It’s about deciding what you want and believing that you’re good enough to have it. It’s about throwing out your own unhelpful mind programming, beliefs and stories so you can start fresh.
Manifesting truly does create a wild new world of possibilities! So if this is your first introduction to the world of the Law of Attraction, welcome to the club of Conscious Creation.
I hope that post helps you whether you’re just becoming familiar with the Law of Attraction or whether you just needed a refresher in order to get excited about it again.
