Feng Shui for Love: 5 Tricks & Tips

by: Jenn

pink roses with text Feng Shui for Love: 5 Tricks & Tips

Consistently, the top two requests I get for help with Feng Shui are always love and money.

Which only makes sense because they are two of our most basic needs. Everyone seems to want more!

So since I’ve already tackled Feng Shui for money and Feng Shui for the bedroom, today I thought I’d delve into the world of Feng Shui for love.

It’s great stuff to play around with, if you’re in a relationship or not. (Many long term relationships can definitely benefit from some fresh energy!)

Feng Shui for Love: 5 Tricks & Tips

Feng Shui For Love Tip #1:

Find The Command Position

Nope I’m not going 50 Shades on you here I swear!

Instead of a sex position, the command position is an important concept in Feng Shui which applies to furniture, like your desk and bed.

Using the command position simply puts you in charge of the space and the energy in it. So take charge of your love life by using it in your bedroom.

Think of how you choose a seat in a restaurant. Typically, you’d go for one with your back to the wall that also gives you a view of those entering the restaurant, without being directly in front of the door. It’s the same for your bed.

Placing your bed in a command position might require a little creative placement! The bed should not be directly facing the door but not directly next to it. Just make sure you should have a clear view of the door while you’re lying in it.

Feng Shui For Love Tip #2:

Purchase Pairs

Pairs of objects are awesome includes, especially for your bedroom. This is a great way to set the intention to bring in a partner – or to keep one around, if need be.

So opt for pairs of lamps, pillows, tchotkes even nightstands. Go for multiples of two if you need more than two and do your best to avoid trios of objects.

While we’re at it, remember that placement matters too! So it’s not enough to have two matching lamps. You need to put one on each side of the bed to truly even things out.

Feng Shui For Love Tip #3:

Check Your Relationship Corner

The far right-hand corner of your home (if you’re standing in the front door) is your relationship zone. Whether it’s in your bedroom or not, it’s another important place to look if you’re looking to attract (or keep) love.

So take a look at yours to see if it needs some help. Clutter is an obvious no-no, but keep an open mind as you assess the objects there. Look at the symbols in the things you have on display. Maybe that black and white photo of a woman sitting alone on her bench is not such a great idea for this area!

Instead, go for images of couples or pairs of objects. Anything pink or red is good to include as are pairs of flowers (roses!) or candles (to create spark).

Read more about the Bagua (including a map!) right over here.

Feng Shui For Love Tip #4:

Create Space

As I’ve mentioned before, the universe responds to a vacuum. Meaning if you clear some room in your closet, there might just be enough room there for a new partner to swoop on in.

Sound crazy?

Well on a psychological level, it’s not that the act getting rid of some old pairs of jeans will invite in a new partner. Instead, the decluttering process is about integrating and accepting who we are right now.

Often times that means admitting to ourselves that certain dress sizes are now behind us or that styles have moved on. Again, it’s not that ridding ourselves of stuff we no longer need is magic.

Clearing the clutter is actually about aligning ourselves up 100% with who we are right now.

And truly owning ourselves is magic.

Feng Shui For Love Tip #5:

Lighting

Always make lamps the preferred source of light in your bedroom. A light that hangs directly above the bed is thought to push away any good energy – and yet most beds I see are positioned directly underneath a light!

To combat this, rely on that pair of matching lamps as your primary source of light rather than the overhead. If you need more, get more! It’s difficult to overdo it when it comes to lighting.

You can also harness the power of the lamps in another way. Try turning on both of your bedside lamps at the same time each night, keeping them on for three hours at a minimum. Repeat this for 27 days and see the heating effect it has on your love life. (*wink*)

I hope you found this Feng Shui knowledge useful! And please don’t forget to share this article if you did.

See you next week!

5 Feng Shui Tips For The Bedroom

by: Jenn

5 Feng Shui Tips For The Bedroom - The Aligned Life

Your entire home is a sacred space but the bedroom is arguably the most sacred of all. Sleep, rest, sex – much of the basics of life truly happen within these walls. And since we spend so many hours of our life asleep, it’s extra-important to put some loving care into that space. Remember you’re always absorbing the energy around you.

Most people opt to tackle their living room or other public spaces first but it’s actually the bedroom that will have the biggest impact on your day-to-day life. Feeling up to the challenge? Good because I’ve got 5 Feng Shui tips For the Bedroom that are designed to keep you well-rested and full of enough energy to tackle the rest of your day.

5 Feng Shui Tips For The Bedroom

Feng Shui For The Bedroom Tip #1:

Pay Close Attention To The Bed Position

bedroom

Your bed plays an important role in your health and well-being! So take the time to ensure your bed is in a good position Feng Shui wise. There are a few rules to follow to achieve this:

First, be sure to leave room for access on both sides of the bed. This is especially important if you are in a relationship or looking for a relationship (so everyone basically). Pushing the bed up against the wall on one side symbolically tips the scale towards one partner. Or it closes the door to anyone new coming in to your life. Take this concept one step further and make sure there are pairs of tables and nightstands on either side. Pairs are always a good idea in the bedroom.

It’s also important to place the bed in the “power position”. Meaning you should be able to see the door from the bed. But you should also not allow your feet to point directly at it. That position is much too active as the energy from the door comes straight towards you leading to disruptful sleep.

Feng Shui For The Bedroom Tip #2:

Color

Bedroom With Muted Wall Color

Any bright saturated color is another bedroom no-no. Bright colors (whether warm or cool) provide Yin (masculine) energy and the bedroom needs to be focused on Yang (feminine) energy. Instead, choose Feng Shui-friendly colors for the bedroom like muted blues, greens and purples.

Red is often considered to be a sexy color for the bedroom but it actually has too much fire energy for a quiet space. If your heart is still set on red (or any other bright color), bring in smaller pieces or incorporate it with pattern. There’s always a way to work the colors we love into the what we need from the space.

Feng Shui For The Bedroom Tip #3:

Opt For Soft Shapes

Any particularly sharp or pointy edges in the bedroom are a definite no-no. While beds usually aren’t a problem, lighting can very often be! Try to choose round or globe shapes instead of anything angular or star-shaped. Those sharp edges are called “poison arrows” in Feng Shui. While they’re never a good thing, they should be out and out avoided during your important resting hours.

Feng Shui For The Bedroom Tip #4:

Kill The Clutter

You knew this was coming right? Nothing clogs up your Chi like clutter so it’s especially important to avoid it in the bedroom. The number one culprit? Under the bed. Under the bed storage seems convenient at first but it impedes Chi’s ability to fully circulate. So always keep the floor clear if you can.

However, if your home is small and there really is no other choice opt for storing soft things like clothing and bedding rather than stashing away your out-of-season athletic gear or shoes (hello restless sleep!).

Feng Shui For The Bedroom Tip #5:

Use Care With Mirrors

[ source]

Mirrors are a common element for bedrooms but they can actually be harmful if not placed correctly. Try to position mirrors so they do not reflect the bed. That can contribute to restless sleep and is also said to invite more people in to the relationship! So if you can’t avoid mirrors outright at least be very mindful of where you place them.

I hope you found this mini Feng Shui for the bedroom guide helpful! If you test these pointers out, be sure to let me know how it goes.

Identity shifting is KEY to manifesting.Because Identity shifting is KEY to manifesting.Because you ALWAYS manifest from your subconscious mind.Meaning you WILL play out old programs and ideas over and over again.Until YOU decide enough's enough! And do the work to REPROGRAM your mind to reflect what it you want and who you need to be.But sometimes, this work doesn't FEEL like it's doing anything. Those little tiny shifts on the inside are close to invisible--which might even make you doubt that it's happening at all.But trust me gorgeous, it IS.Keep taking tiny steps forward.Keep doubling down on who you WANT to be.TRUST the process and understandThat little by little, bit by bitIt all adds upUntil one day you look around and realize: I'm already there.

What would it be like to TRULY be enough for yours What would it be like to TRULY be enough for yourself?💜To not CRAVE that outside approval or validation? To forget about other people's opinions or what they say behind your back?To not motivate yourself to move TOWARDS something only because you cannot stand where you are? This just goes to show that as much as we all LOATHE to admit it, so much of what we do is based off of artificially leveraging ourselves UP.If so-and-so would only say "good job"If that person would LOVE meIf I finally did [ insert arbitrary goal here ]THEN I could finally feel good and actually TRULY love myself.Sometimes we all get our wires crossed on this at times. (Myself included!)We focus on the future fantasy that our issues will MAGICALLY disappear once X/Y/Z happens. And we chase the things outside of us, forgetting that the ONLY place our true happiness lies is within ourselves.I'm here to warn you:You could run the whole race of life and NOT get what you think you need from other people. You could meet milestone after milestone and still NEVER feel like you measure up. 😩ORYou could start being enough, right here, right now.Enough = you as you are, flaws, mistakes and all.Enough = you without anyone else.Enough = you.💗Happy Thursday Conscious Creator friends!

It's a FACT of life: you're simply NOT going to fe It's a FACT of life: you're simply NOT going to feel good all the time. And that's okay! Not gonna lie: the last month or so has been rough for me.The darkness of winter + strict lockdowns/limited holiday celebrations were TOUGH.I've definitely had my moments of letting it all get to me.But that doesn't mean anything has gone wrong. It doesn't mean that I'm somehow failing. And it definitely does NOT mean I'm putting more space between me and my manifestation goals.Even with the BEST of intentions, life is 50/50. Expecting perfection at any time will ONLY set you up for disappointment.Feeling frustrated, down, exhausted: those are all normal feelings for anyone experiencing a pandemic (plus general winter blues/ political chaos etc.)So while I don't want to create MORE of those feelings, I'm also not going to judge myself for having them.Making your feelings WRONG does not speed you up back into feeling better. It only creates self-loathing and resistance. Are you feeling the same? Here are a few things that are helping me right now:- Just letting myself cry if I feel like it (Sometimes 10 minutes of a good cry is a sufficient release!)
- Concentrating on pandemic-lockdown friendly goals that I CAN achieve (Doing pilates every day, meditation + Manifestation Journaling)
- Taking a break from drinking (I only drank about once a week anyway! But why not try going without it for a month?)
- Doing more behind-the-scenes entrepreneur stuff (The kinds of things that are so easy to put off for "someday")
- Using my SAD lamp every morning! (I only just got it but I swear it's helping)
- NOT judging myself too harshly if I suddenly don't feel up to doing the work I had planned or posting as much I "should" (Being an entrepreneur brings an EXTRA level of potential self-judgment that's hard to get out of at times.)This is all just a great example of one of the most important lessons of LIFE.You don't get to choose all your circumstances. But you DO get to choose what you do WITH them. What are you choosing to create right now? Whether you're in lockdown or not, I'd love to hear it!
