Fortunately, I now understand that they really do work. It’s not just Woo Woo superstition! Affirmations are a very real way to reprogram your mind for what you want in life.

I get that you might feel silly or ridiculous at first but remember that thinking that affirmations don’t work is an affirmation unto itself. (Oooooooh yeah baby!)

Words are powerful. If you want to live an intentional life that has you taking concrete steps towards what you want, then you must begin by consciously choosing your thoughts.

Yes affirmations do work–in a couple different ways.

First, they work through repetition. If you repeat an affirmation to yourself, eventually it will become your default belief.

Second, they work even better with subconscious reprogramming. If you listen to them or repeat them while you’re going to sleep (for example) you’re going to get them to work faster. That’s because they’ll be going straight into your subconscious brain.

Affirmations work by rewiring your brain over time. That means that most of the time, they won’t work instantly! However, manifesting really is about changing your vibration (ie. changing your subconscious beliefs).
