So it’s one of the most frustrating pieces of manifesting advice I’ve ever been given!
It is if you want to manifest something you also have to know how to detach from it.
So this becomes a big catch 22 in manifesting. Like how am I supposed to want something and yet not really care if I get it or not?
And so in this video I’m going to clear up any confusion you might have about that topic and get you back on the manifesting superhighway. So if you want to find out how to do that then be sure to keep watching!

As I said at the top of the video it is so confusing when you’re first in the world of manifestation: How are you supposed to have an intention, decide on what you want and go after it and also be totally detached from the outcome?
For me this was a big thing to wrap my brain around and I know it is a really difficult thing for most people. Because most of us have a really hard time detaching. Actually we put so much importance and so much emphasis on what we want that we really kind of give it more importance than it really needs to have and that therefore also pushes the thing away.
So please listen to this video carefully and please really try to understand if you are doing this! If you are doing this, then start to switch your thinking. Start to switch your mindset over and start to look at the situation in a new way because I promise you that once you start to do that that will clear the space for it to actually come through.
It is really beneficial for you to do this work! But first let’s talk about this. We all tend to want to manifest things into our life sometimes from a place of lack. So what do I mean by that? I mean that you are even though you’re doing a spiritual practice (and you’re using a spiritual tool like manifesting) that sometimes the reasons why you are doing something aren’t really all that great for you.
This would be like I’m trying to manifest the new Chanel bag because if I have a Chanel bag then these people at work or these people I went to school with will be impressed and think I’m really cool etc etc.
So you’re still using something outside of you. You’re still going after the Chanel bag for a reason that comes from what’s your what you’re feeling inside of you. So you’re feeling like these people are judging you or not accepting you or rejected you in the past and you want to feel better about yourself. But instead of healing that wound or instead of making yourself feel better from the inside, you are still looking for that external thing to do the work for you.
That then creates a problem because now you are putting such a big expectation on getting this bag and what will happen actually get this bag. But that’s really not what you want! What you really want is just to feel good about yourself. What you really want is just to love yourself and accept yourself the way you are. So that’s one thing to think about.
You need to understand where your motivation is coming from and if your motivation is coming from a place like this where you’re trying to get one up on somebody, when you’re trying to prove something to somebody, when you’re trying to make somebody jealous, when you’re trying to teach someone a lesson…all of that kind of thinking means that there’s way more attached to your goal than you’re admitting to yourself.
You are making this one thing the (the ring on your finger, the car, the corner office, whatever it is) you’re going after you’re making that be your redemption. And the only person that can really redeem you is you. You can give yourself permission to do that you can heal yourself. You can you know heal those wounds from the inside out. Then the stuff from your past or from your present even won’t bother you so much.
That just shows you how it can be difficult to detach from something. Because you created this create storyline around it and you’re attaching more meaning to it than you’re even admitting to yourself.
So of course it’s gonna be hard to detach from it when you have this giant expectation wrapped around your manifestation–which of course is going to be difficult to do that because basically you’re doing this for the wrong reasons.
Again you are trying to heal yourself from the outside and you are trying to make other people think differently of you which is a game none of us can ever win.
There’s all kinds of things going wrong with this scenario that will not ultimately make you happy and you have to remember that at the end of the day, you’re doing this to make yourself happy. So make yourself happy and don’t worry about what other people think and don’t try to do something to impress someone else like that.
You have to really remember that as you go through this process. So that’s my giant caveat when it comes to manifesting because I think a lot of people get stuck on that just because they’re not being honest with themselves.
They’re not admitting where their motivations are. They’re not admitting why they really want something. So of course then it’s difficult to detach from the outcome! Because you are making that one outcome your whole medicine, the whole way that you can see forward to get better.
I’m telling you this right now because I want you to understand there is another way to get better. There’s another way to heal. There’s another way to move past all that judgment and resentment and bitterness and whatever else you’re feeling. But only you can discover that. You cannot wait for these people to give it to you. You need to give it to yourself.
So that’s the first thing to think about!
The second thing I want you guys to know about the art of detaching in order to manifest your desires is that you have access to every single feeling that you want in the world right now.
Okay so when I talk about manifesting, I talk about embodying who you want to be, about moving yourself up in the timeline, about, you know, creating such a magnetism between who you are and what you want that the thing cannot help but show up for you.
It isn’t about sitting around and waiting for something to fall out of the sky while you do nothing. It is about becoming the person that you want to be. So when you’re in this state and you’re manifesting something for the right reasons and you are working on collapsing timelines and you’re working on getting energetically aligned with something, you can think about what you want to think about your manifestation intention and then think about how that’s going to make you feel.
The cool thing is now that you know this now that you can understand your brain, understand your mindset, now you also know that you can just go over here and get the feeling without having anything to do with this right? So if you can walk opt over here, walk over here pull, you’re feeling this pull up the feeling that you want.
Walk around wearing that feeling. Then guess what? You are detaching from the thing because the thing is no longer necessary for you to feel the way you want to feel.
You have already chosen the way you want to feel. You are already wearing your feelings. You’re already in the feeling cabinet with however you want to feel, whether that’s joy or satisfaction or whatever it is. You can get there right now. You can do something today. You can do something in the next hour that will make you feel like that.
So understanding how that works is it creates detachment because again you’re understanding that you do not have to wait for the thing to come to you in order to feel the way you want to. And when you don’t have to wait for something to come to you then it doesn’t really matter if it actually comes.
It can show up or it cannot show up but it doesn’t matter because you have the feeling already. You’re already feeling exactly how you want to feel and that is the most important thing of all.
So that is my real trick my real Jedi mind trick for getting on the other side of detachment. If you are feeling it confused about manifesting, if you don’t understand how to detach from your desire then please think about the two things I shared with you today. Really try to understand where your desire is coming from. Understand why you want the thing you do and be really honest with yourself.
Because again if you’re creating this whole redemption story for yourself because of this one thing coming into your life you are setting yourself up for disappointment and you are also pushing your manifestation away.
So you really want to be clear on that stuff first. The second thing is you want to understand that you always have control over your feelings. You can always feel any way you want to in the world. There is always something you can do today to feel exactly as good as you would feel with your manifestation intention.
So the more you practice feeling that way, the more you exert control over your feelings, the less attached they’re going to feel to this external thing, the less that thing is even going to matter to you.
Because you already know how to get what you really want which is the feeling and funnily enough that’s usually when the manifestation comes in. It’s when you really understand this.

Letting go is one of the BEST Law of Attraction hacks. Here’s why you need to detach to get what you want from your intention as well as some strategy on how to do that.
Hi guys, it’s Jenn from The Aligned Life. Welcome back to my channel! Today, we are going to talk about how to detach in order to get what you want. [Music]
So, I love to talk about all the different ways we can troubleshoot our manifesting practice on this channel, and that is because manifesting is easy; people are hard, that is what I always say. So, if something is going wrong in the things that you are trying to attract, the best thing to do is to analyze what you are doing in order to get in your way. So that we can figure out how to undo it and get you back on track again.
One of the most important elements of successful manifesting is learning how to detach yourself from the outcome. I know this sounds so crazy because of course, you are trying to manifest something that you really want, and when you really want something, you just kind of can’t help but get attached to it, right? So, learning to detach, learning how to want something deeply, and also to be deeply okay if you don’t get it, is a very, very fine line that we all have to learn how to walk on.
In this video, I’m sharing three tips to help you navigate this world of detachment so that you can speed up and fix your manifesting process and get back to manifesting successfully.
Become Detached To Manifest Tip #1: Don’t Be Thirsty
Tip number one: Don’t be thirsty. So, thirstiness is when you want something so badly that you already feel incomplete because you don’t have it. When there is something outside of you that you want so much and that you are not attached to it, that you think there is no other way you can be happy unless you get this thing, you are already requiring this thing to fill you up, to complete you, to make you feel better, to make you feel loved, to make you feel successful. So, whatever you are going after, I always want you to understand the core reason why because you can have anything you want in life as long as you know the reason why.
Thirstiness is a sort of desperate, clingy energy and it really speaks loudly that your worthiness levels are not high. It really says that you think that there is something missing from your life and you are trying desperately to fill that hole with something that is outside of you. And of course, anytime you try to fill the hole that is inside with something that is outside, you are putting yourself at a big risk because the things that are outside of you can always be taken away from you. The relationships can go away, the money can disappear, the success can go away overnight. All those things that you are using to make yourself feel good are all outside of you. So, the most important thing is to come back to you, to come and trust in yourself and to realize that you are the source of everything you need in life. You don’t need the thing that you are after as much as you think you do. You have to turn that into “it would be nice to have, I would like to have this” instead of “I really need this to happen”. And if you can flip that energy around, you will be so much more successful with your manifesting.
Become Detached To Manifest Tip #2: There Are Lots of Ways To Move Forward
The second way to detach to get the things that you want is to realize that there are lots of different ways to get there. Again, I touched on this in the first tip, but if you want to attract something into your life, then as long as you know the reason why, then you will be so much more successful. And that is because if you know the reason why you want the thing, then you will always realize that there are many different ways to get that feeling because everything that we want in life is never just about the surface object. There’s always a deeper story to it and there are so many different ways that we can feel this energy, that we can feel this approval, this happiness, this contentment that have nothing to do with the thing that we are currently manifesting. And once you realize that, that means that you can detach because it doesn’t matter if you get that thing or not because you will get the feeling in another way. There are so many different ways to achieve the feelings that we like in life. So, please don’t put all your eggs in one basket and think that only this thing is going to do it. You can feel successful for many different things in life, you can feel rich from many different things in life, you can feel loved by many different things in life. So, please don’t think that it has to be this one specific person or thing to make you feel loved. You have access to all the love and self-respect and self-acceptance already inside of you if you are willing to look and if you are willing to let other people take you there, because it’s actually you just taking you there. All those feelings are already there inside of you.
Become Detached To Manifest Tip #3: Feeling Is The Shortcut
Detaching to get what you want, tip number three, is that the feeling is the shortcut. Again, you can have anything you want in life as long as you know why. And the reason why you want something is always because you want to feel a certain way. So, when you think that thing is going to make you feel better, then you are also kind of stopping yourself in an inability to manifest because you won’t be able to get on that real feeling until you actually get there, right? So, it’s kind of a catch-22, but once you realize that it’s the feeling that you want and then you can generate that feeling, there are so many other pathways to getting that feeling. Then, you can make yourself feel that way in all kinds of different ways. And of course, in the law of attraction, feeling always comes before having. So, the more you feel loved, the more you feel success, the more you feel whatever it is that you are really after, the easier it will be for you to actually call in the thing you want because you already feel the feelings. The feelings always come first, you guys. So, that is why it’s so important to really analyze the things you are looking at getting and figure out why you really want them. Figure out how you think they’re going to make you feel because you have the right again to go out and create any feeling that you want. And once you’re actually feeling that state, once you’re feeling that success and that happiness and that love, the thing that you want is going to come magnetically flying into your life. So, please do the work, put in the time, do the analysis, think about why you really want the thing you want. And once you start feeling it and once you start inviting it into your life in so many other ways, that is when it’s going to come to you. You are detached because you are already there, the feeling is already in your life. So, you don’t need the thirstiness, you don’t need the clinging, you don’t need to manipulate anything, it’s already happening. You are already feeling that feeling, so you’ve already done the work in so many ways.
I really want to challenge you guys again, the feeling comes before having. And this is more than just visualizing, it’s more than just sitting around and thinking good thoughts about the thing you want. You really have to create that feeling and that emotion on the inside. So, really think about how you can do that in your everyday life and I guarantee it will speed up your manifesting and help you detach from feeling that clinging energy to the thing that you want so badly.
