three capitalist beliefs that you need to heal this might not sound like something that you have to think about but i guarantee everybody watching this has some capitalistic programmed beliefs that are actually harming you more than serving you the thing is with a belief it is not going to just go away on its own you have to do a little work to uncover it and heal it and reprogram it so today i’m going to give you a jumping off point to do just that so if you want to find out what those capitalist beliefs are then be sure to keep watching

something you’re interested in then go ahead and hit that subscribe button so yes today we’re taking a little bit of a left turn into the world of capitalist beliefs actually i might turn this into a little series about trauma beliefs trauma programming things that we’ve picked up because i want to highlight how these things are so prevalent and i want to show how they might actually be harming you on your journey to becoming the best version of you so i’m not going to go in to the back story about why capitalism is bad we have all kind of come to that conclusion at this late stage of capitalism however it is one thing to look at society and see the issues in the world it is a completely different story to look at how these beliefs have been programmed into you so that you can number one stop using them against yourself and number two heal them consciously reprogram them so that you can move past them of course doing this alone is not going to free you from the encrypts of capitalism like it or not this is the system we live in but i am here to help but today i want to offer this to you because the more that we can learn because the more that we can learn how to thrive in the system the better off we’re going to be like i said in the intro these beliefs were not conscious like you did not consciously wake up one day and decide to believe these things these are just things that have been programmed into us from society from our church from our parents from our friends since we were little and they are such a part of the culture at large that you might not even realize that you have them and that is again why it’s so important to do this work we need to look at these beliefs in our mind notice how they might be holding us back notice how they might have traumatized us even and do the work to consciously choose what we want to believe in with that all being said of course this is a huge topic i can get into money trauma love trauma all different kinds of areas but today i wanted to do this one for capitalism since we are stepping into the christmas shopping season this actually has nothing to do with christmas shopping i just think it’s kind of funny to release it right now but i really hope that this inspires you to think about your own beliefs and empowers you to change them up if they need to be changed so with that all being said let’s get into it and the first belief that i want you to notice and reprogram in yourself is that poor people are inherently lazy or stupid so if you have ever heard someone judging a homeless person if you see somebody on the street and subconsciously think well you know if they just got a job then they wouldn’t be in this position if you’ve ever heard that kind of language have that kind of thought that is a programmed capitalistic belief under the system of capitalism we are taught that if you work hard you can pull yourself up by the bootstraps and we are reinforced this idea over and over and over again as part of the american dream however the american dream is not exactly what we have been sold and i think most of us know at this point in time there are so many other factors at play there are systemic factors in particular that can make it difficult for certain people to raise themselves up by their bootstraps you could come from a low socioecon economic background or maybe you have a mental health issue there are so many different factors that can come into play that make this an incredibly uneven playing field but we have been told this over and over again so we end up judging poor people instead of like you know realizing that they are actually a product of a broken system but what i want you to know about this belief in particular is that we use this belief against ourselves all the time so basically if you have been told over and over again that poor people are lazy or stupid you go out into the world and you start to struggle with money the automatic conclusion you’re going to come to is well there must be something wrong with me i must be lazy or stupid or just not a good worker you start to think that something is wrong with you because of course if you are working hard you should be making money right it is so poisonous to think this way and i’m not saying that removing this one belief is going to help you to become rich i’m saying that believing that there is you know something inherently wrong with you if you don’t have the kind of money that you want is not going to help you to make more money and not necessarily that making more money is the cure to this problem either the system has been rigged against us and we have to stop taking it so personally if we don’t have the right tools so a personal example for me is like no one ever taught me about investing money about saving money about doing anything like that whereas i know that my friends that come from wealthier backgrounds you know they were taught at a pretty young age about investments about you know this whole financial world that i was basically illiterate in so that is a factor that i can open my eyes to i can become aware of and i can take action about but i probably wouldn’t take that action if i just thought oh i’m poor so therefore i must be stupid or lazy that is not an empowering thought that is a thought that is going to keep you trapped so i really want you to think about this one and see how you are using this thought against yourself and if you are using it against yourself what can you do what can you start to believe in what can you heal what experience from your past can you heal in order to take some of that away okay capitalist belief number two that i want to talk about today if you want more money you got to work harder or you got to work longer so under the system of capitalism that is the only way that we are taught to make money so if you have ever heard of maybe there’s a single mom on tv that can’t afford daycare and you’ll hear someone reply well they should just go get another job this is the kind of capitalism attitude that we hear in so many different ways working hard is glorified in western culture it’s a part of the puritanical belief structure we think that working hard is like creating holiness basically like that’s the most kind of classical way of looking at it but that very much ties into the concepts of capitalism if we are all taught that working hard is the best thing that we can possibly do and that if we you know want to make more money we should just go do more of that we are playing perfectly in to that system so the other thing to know about money and wealth in general is that it isn’t always a result of more work right so a great example of this would be any billionaires just think of jeff bezos is he working you know every single hour every week no of course he’s not was he at one point in time maybe but the point is like he did not his wealth isn’t growing connected to his hourly output when you connect your growth your financial growth to your hourly output you are going to be limiting yourself in some way so maybe right now that is how you make your money that is you make your money by being paid hourly for a job and that’s totally okay there’s nothing wrong with that but what i want to highlight here is that there are a lot of different ways to make money that have nothing to do with how long you work or how hard you work it is about making smart money moves and anyone has the ability to go out and figure out how to do that so if i was going to challenge you to think on this in your own life if i wanted to challenge you to start to make more money in your world if that’s what you want to do what could you do that isn’t going to make you work necessarily harder or longer to make that money this is just a really important question to ask yourself to help you get creative and to start to see how this belief has been so deeply programmed into you so i’ll let you sit with that one as well okay capitalist belief number three hard work is always rewarded so again this is another potential vicious cycle we can wrap ourselves up in we think i need to make more money therefore i’m going to work harder or work longer and we go ahead and do that sometimes we might go into the world and try to make this happen and then we can be very disappointed to find out that the money doesn’t immediately follow again the problem isn’t you the problem isn’t what you’re doing this is such a deeply embedded belief you hear it all the time in the news and tv etc etc we have just taken for granted this fact we think this is the way it is if i work harder i will get rewarded for it and again that isn’t necessarily always the case if you are wanting to call in more abundance into your life i would think more in terms of how to expand your capacity for money instead of trying to work longer hours when you work longer hours yes of course that can open you up to creating more money in the short term but over the long term that is going to fall off because you only have so many hours in the day there’s only one of you you can’t really scale that going forward i also want you to think about this as a belief that you use against yourself so again if you are feeling like you haven’t made enough money maybe you have internalized this to the point that since i don’t have the money that i want i must not be a hard worker so if that resonates at all with you i want you to start to check in with when was your first money idea about this from what are some instances of your life where you felt this very acutely and what would you rather believe instead so while we are taught again over and over and over that hard work is always rewarded there are so many examples out there in the world where this is so patently untrue the example that i like to use is that usually some of the people that are paid the lowest amounts of money like maybe the janitor at a high school are paid the least amount of money working hard is not guarantee that you are going to be rewarded there are definitely different ways to make money feeling that drained working a ton of hours doing all those kinds of things you know maybe that is what you need to do in the short term but i just want you to realize that you do not have to buy into that as a long-term lifestyle that does not need to be part of your world going forward that does not have to be a part of life you can choose to do something else it might take a little time but there are other ways to get out of it and again using this belief against ourselves is so toxic because when you think you are lazy you are going to just turn up in the world in a different way when you think that you are just stupid you are going to stop looking for more solutions the capitalism is its own problem but using these capitalistic beliefs against ourselves is a big problem in itself and unfortunately we are the only ones that get to fix it so as you can tell i could probably talk about this topic for quite a bit of time but i just wanted to bring this forward to you today so that you can start to think about how these ideas and beliefs are affecting you and more importantly how you’re using them against yourself so that you can begin the healing process if you’re at all interested in learning more about how to heal your limiting beliefs your negative patterns then i invite you to come over and check out recode manifestation academy it is so much more than
